PIR Motion Sensor Detector Module HC-SR501

Description

The HC-SR501 PIR Motion Sensor is used to detect movement by sensing changes in infrared radiation. It can detect the movement of people and animals based on the heat they emit.

When a person or other warm object moves in front of the sensor, it detects the change and sends a signal through the output pin. This signal can be used to trigger a microcontroller, alarm, light, or other electronic device.

The module has three pins: VCC, OUT, and GND. It also includes on-board controls for adjusting the sensitivity and the amount of time the output remains active after motion is detected.

The HC-SR501 is a simple and effective sensor for adding motion detection to electronic projects.
