Description
The IR Obstacle Avoidance Sensor is used to detect nearby objects using infrared light. It contains an IR transmitter and receiver placed side by side.
When the sensor emits infrared light, it gets reflected back if an object is present in front of it. The receiver detects this reflected light and changes the output signal, allowing a microcontroller to detect the object.
The module has three pins: VCC, GND, and OUT. The detection range can be adjusted using the on-board potentiometer according to the requirements of the project.
The sensor can be interfaced directly with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontrollers.
The IR Obstacle Avoidance Sensor is commonly used for object detection and proximity sensing in electronics and robotics projects.
