Description
The Soil Moisture Sensor is used to measure the moisture level in soil. It works by detecting the electrical conductivity between its probes, which changes depending on the amount of water present in the soil.
The module consists of a soil moisture probe and a control board. When the probe is inserted into the soil, it senses the moisture content and provides both analog and digital output signals. The digital output threshold can be adjusted using the onboard potentiometer.
The module has four pins: VCC, GND, AO, and DO. The analog output provides a continuous moisture reading, while the digital output can be used to detect whether the soil moisture level is above or below a set threshold.
